(The Grandeur and Strength of Woman!)
In the world today it’s almost impossible to find anyone who understands the true nature and grandeur of female man, (woman). However, if everyone understood how divine women really are, the world would have far less turmoil and there wouldn’t be a feminist movement or any other things like it. Therefore, I thought I would share some truth and wisdom on the subject.
Help meet, understanding what this term means brings so much greater understanding into women, their strengths, and their roles in God’s eternal plan, which is vital for both men and women to understand in order to know the true greatness of woman! The term “help meet” may be the least understood term in all of scripture. Often we think “help meet” to mean, “a support and help for…” specifically a support and help to male man. Although that can have great significance, it does not come close to the full meaning. In order to understand the deeper meaning, we must go to the original Hebrew words that were translated into help meet. According to my research, help meet is derived from two Hebrew words. The first is: Ezer. This is the word that is translated into English as help. The second is: k’enegdo which is translated into English as “meet for” or “fit for”. These Hebrew words have a much richer meaning than their English counterparts, however.
In her book Eve and the Choice Made in Eden, Beverly Campbell writes: “According to biblical scholar David Freedman, the Hebrew word translated into English as “help” is ezer. This word is a combination of two roots, one meaning “to rescue”, “to save,” and the other meaning “to be strong.” The first meaning “to rescue or save” is very profound and brings with it greater understanding! Most men will admit that their wife has indeed saved them in more ways than one. The second meaning, “To be strong” is often referred to in scripture as mighty in battle. How this definition refers to Eve can be somewhat ambiguous. However, it is clear that Eve and all of her daughters were meant to be strong and mighty women.
So we see that the Hebrew word translated into English as “help” actually means “to save through strength” or “A Mighty Savior”. This definition brings with it a much more profound meaning of a woman’s role and significance. She is not merely a helper to her husband. But she is, in a very real sense, a savior to him and to her children. It was only through mother Eve that Christ was brought into the world. As Elohim said to the Serpent, “I will place enmity between thee and the seed of the woman. You shall have power to bruise his heal, but He (Christ) shall have power to crush thy head.” (see Moses 4:21)” Because of the seed of the woman we are saved. Christ was born of Mary, but not of Joseph. Women are saviors not only because Christ was born of woman, but because we are all born of woman. Without mothers, then, salvation could not have been brought to pass. There would have been no Atonement nor Messiah to perform that atonement.
From the blog “Women in the Scriptures”, Heather explains it this way:
“Women are “saviors” to men by the fact that they give them life and nurture them towards the light of Christ. By conceiving, creating and bearing mortal bodies women make it possible for God’s children to start on their mortal journey and have the opportunity to become perfected. Without women there would be no gateway into this world and no opportunity for progress or exaltation. In addition, by being willing to sacrifice (their very lives if necessary) to bring children into this world women demonstrate the true meaning of charity. From the very first breath a child takes he or she has been the recipient of charity… This is a powerful gift that a mother gives her child and it is her love which first reminds the child of God and points them towards Christ. Each woman, regardless of her ability to give birth, is a savior to mankind when she loves men and nurtures a child closer to Christ.”
Women, then, bring children into this world in a similar way that Christ brings us back into the eternal world, through Blood, water and spirit. (See Moses 6:59)
The Hebrew word k’enegdo also has a much richer meaning than just fit for or meet for. To quote Diana Webb once again:
“Neged, a related word which means “against”, was one of the first words I learned in Hebrew. I thought it was very strange that God would create a companion for Adam that was “against” him! Later, I learned that kenegdo could also mean “in front of” or “opposite.” This still didn’t help much. Finally I heard it explained as being “exactly corresponding to,” like when you look at yourself in a mirror.” (Diana Webb)
This gets very interesting! Woman, then, are opposite, but complimentary and equal to her husband. In fact, she is the perfect complement to him! She possesses all the abilities and attributes that he does not, and vice versa. Just as a man and woman are physically and sexually different, yet complimentary, so are their other attributes, roles and abilities. This is what makes male man and female man unique but also very compatible. It is also what makes marriage difficult, but also very rewarding. Only together, then, can they accomplish the great tasks that are before them. Only as a man and a woman are united in marriage can they bring forth children in the most supportive and meaningful way. And only as a man and a woman are united in marriage can they become whole or complete. God designed it this way so we could become more like Him – More full of love, understanding, compassion, truth, virtue, honor, respect, fidelity, etc. It’s being united in marriage that brings us closest to Godhood. It’s a sure way to cast off the natural man and progress toward the celestial!
So help meet actually means, “A mighty Savior equal to, but opposite her husband.” Wow! What a wonderful description of woman! If all women and men understood the true meaning and capacity of female man, this world would be a much better place!
Further, we need both male man and female man in order to have all the attributes of God and to be able to create life. It is only through the uniting of male man and female man that we can obtain wholeness or completeness. Even in the way God speaks of man and woman as “Male man” and “Female man” gives us the impression and understanding that they are to be one. Or another way to put it is, that they are already one.

Such a beautiful description of “woman”! I’m so grateful that I understand what true female strength is!
So awesome! Truth like this is very important to get out there. Women need to be reminded how important they are, and who they are.
You are so right! Every woman needs to know how great she is and who she is. If they could understand this simple truth, amazing things will happen to her personally, her family, and society.
