“…treasure up wisdom in your bosoms, lest the wickedness of men reveal these things unto you by their wickedness, in a manner which shall speak in your ears with a voice louder than that which shall shake the earth; but if ye are prepared ye shall not fear.” D&C 38:30-31
More wisdom is desperately needed in today’s world. There is too much deception. Even among true believers deception can often find a stronghold. According to the 1828 Webster dictionary on wisdom, “If wisdom is to be considered as a faculty of the mind, it is the faculty of discerning or judging what is most just, proper and useful, and if it is to be considered as an acquirement, it is the knowledge and use of what is best, most just, most proper, most conducive to prosperity or happiness.” Further it states that, “wisdom is true religion; godliness; piety; the knowledge and fear of God, and sincere and uniform obedience to his commands. This is the wisdom which is from above. Psalms 90:12. Job 28:12.”
In this light, My blog, “Truth and wisdom”, is about almost anything and everything from the perspective of God’s truth and His wisdom. There is too much “opinion” on the internet that varies as much as the different people who share them. Further, there are too many who cling to the philosophies of man and make “facts” their God. But often, facts are not true or wise. Real truth and real wisdom comes from God. It is my hope and desire that I can share His truth and wisdom in each article. That each blog will teach, enlighten, uplift, encourage, and support all who visit.
